The Canadians

Another group of visitors to Folkestone were the Canadian soldiers of 2nd Division. I have prepared a booklet which is given to local school children when I talk to them  before their annual visit to the Canadian graves at Shorncliffe Military Cemetery. Read it here

Also have a look at ‘Frank’s Diary’ by following the link at top of page. He was a Canadian Soldier stationed at Shorncliffe and Sandling camps.

Before we leave the Canadians, for now, we can view a short film from the NFB of Canada, showing troops training ‘Somewhere in England’ In fact the location is Shorncliffe. As the men approach the top of the hill note the cemetery in the top right - Shorncliffe Military Cemetery.
