Welcome to Coast of Conflict, named after my first book, published in 2004. It is a history of south Kent from Napoleonic times to the First World War. In 2008 this was followed by Dover and Folkestone during the Great War. During my researches I accumulated a great deal of material and my aim here is to make this material widely available. Most of it will be freely accessible, usually as a PDF, subject to the usual respect for copyright. In some cases there will be a nominal charge.
